Join us for a special pop-up songwriters event at Myrtle in East Providence! Isabel Castellvi, Zan Berry, and Flannery Brown will share sets of original songs, folk music, and cello looping. ​

Jazz and Improvisation Workshop with Chris Tate, April 11th

Chris Tate ( https://www.jazzcello.com ) will lead an introductory workshop on improvisation, understanding chords, and Jazz harmony on string instruments! This workshop will be open to all levels of string players. Registration details coming soon!

2026 PVD Cello Fest! May 8th and May 9th, Providence

It's our 6th annual weekend of multi-genre cello performances , workshops, and jam sessions!
This year we are especially excited to be joined by our guest artist , Naseem Alatrash. Naseem will be leading an Arabic music workshop for strings and performing on Saturday night. ABOUT US
Started in February 2020, the PVD Cello Festival is an event committed to enriching the music scene in Providence by presenting concerts and educational workshops that celebrate the versatility of the cello. By hosting concerts in different types of venues and showcasing the instrument in many different styles and genres, PVD Cello Fest aims to build new connections within the community and foster curiosity about what is possible on the cello.
